New heights are well within the reach of the Mutant 22, the smallest edition of our fan-favourite ice/alpine climb series. Engineered for done-in-a-day endeavours on vertical ice and alpine ascents, the Mutant 22 was first developed with the help of local guides and athletes. Since then, it’s tamed all seasons and climbing disciplines, receiving a refreshing update. New colours, advanced fabrics and refined features make the latest iteration of Mutant 22 even more formidable than its predecessor, proving that the evolution isn’t done yet. The pack is designed for maximum versatility, boasting a plethora of features. These include a large main compartment, an internal zipped pocket with key clip, a stowable inside/out rope-attachment system with internal compression to keep your gear tidy, dual ToolLocks with bungee tie-offs to provide quick and easy access to your ice tools, and a front panel daisy chain that provides attachment points for additional gear. A mesh back panel ups the breathability and when you set the bag down, the Snowshed fabric back panel won’t get embedded with snow like many mesh other back panels, meaning you won’t get cold and wet. The three-point haul system makes belaying/rappelling easy, whilst the internal hydration sleeve fits reservoirs up to 3l, giving you the option to use a hydration system. The webbing hip belt helps distribute the load weight but can also be removed if desired for versatility. Side loops provide additional compression or attachment points. An internal frame helps ensure comfort and maintains the pack’s shape. Robic Nylon is highly durable and resists wear and tear.
