The innovative slipper version of the Vapour family, the Vapour S is both powerful and flexible for precision on even the smallest edges.

Microfibre Upper

Constructed using a microfibre upper, the Vapour S Climbing Shoes are worthy of any outdoor adventure. Designed to provide the right amount of flexibility and support, the upper conforms to the shape of the foot yet, retains its elasticity for a better, more supportive fit. The microfibre upper ensures the shoes hold their shape for longer than other leather equivalents plus, it’s soft on the skin for complete comfort. The heel is bonded directly to the outsole meaning you get the same level of support and durability in the heel as you do in the outsole. The rubber in the heel protects you from knocks whilst heel stitching is effective in relieving pressure on the Achilles tendon for added comfort. Added protection also comes from the rubber toe cap which protects the toes from knocks and scrapes and, is ribbed to support secure toe hooking. Lastly, for easy on and off, and comfortable wearing, the shoes have a slip-on design with a Nano-Strap closure, to provide you with a locked-in fit around the heel and to help secure the ankle for better hooking performance.

Flexan Dynamic Plastic Midsole

The midsole of the Scarpa Vapour S Climbing Shoes is specially designed to ensure maximum support with added flex. The Flexan Dynamic plastic midsole ensures a level of support that doesn’t compromise on weight. Added flexibility in the rearfoot makes for great smearing whilst added support in the forefoot allows you to cling on to the smallest footholds. The midsole actively spreads the force for sustained periods on technical face climbs. The Vapour S is moderately downturned to allow your feet to form a position that’s best for climbing. A Bi-Tension randing system also features that actively pulls power from the toes, rather than cramming your toes painfully forward, giving immediate performance with less tension, which means less rubber, making your shoes lighter, more sensitive and more reactive.

Vibram XS Grip 2 Outsole

Used on the outsole is a Vibram XS Grip 2 compound which is a material used by many bouldering world championship winners. The outsole delivers measurably improved grip with a level of firmness ideal for moderate edging and slope holds, whilst maintaining consistent performance during all temperatures. It provides a maximum level of grip, making them a great pair of climbing companions for overhanging routes.
